Did you have the privilege to know Roger Evans? I hope so. 

He was a husband, a dad, a grandpa, a youth pastor, a PE teacher, a coach and a dear friend. He was passionate about Jesus, and he loved kids. He had a passion for at-risk youth and sharing the Gospel with them.

Roger passed away in 2017 after a three-year battle with cancer. Even in his final days, I don’t know if Roger ever lost his smile and positive attitude. The legacy he left was one of joyful service to the Lord.

To honor his memory, Leverage Ministries hosts the annual Roger Evans Memorial Golf Classic. The proceeds from this tournament benefit Leverage Ministries and go directly toward helping at-risk youth from Polk County participate in our various summer programs. We offers local sports camps and week-long camping trips to the Ocala National Forest.
